Introducing Starter: an annual-only on-ramp to redireo

Starter is redireo's annual-only tier, 25,000 scans a month, 25 codes, one custom domain, content types, and GS1 product identities, for $72 a year. Here is why it is annual-only and who it is for.

Starter is a new tier that sits between the free plan and Pro. It is billed annually only, and it exists to close the gap between trying redireo for free and committing to a full campaign plan. Every number below is rendered from the live pricing ladder, so it matches what you see on the pricing page.

What is in Starter?

Starter is $6/mo billed annually ($72/yr). For that you get 25,000 scans a month across 25 dynamic codes, 1 custom branded domain with no per-domain surcharge, the full set of content types, vCard, WiFi, PDF, text, email, and SMS, and analytics that never expire. It also includes 25 active GS1 product identities, so a small connected-products run has a home. GS1 Digital Link resolution is coming and is described as in preview, not live; the codes, custom domain, and analytics ship today.

Why is Starter annual-only?

Starter is annual-only because a sub-$19 monthly tier does not clear our gross-margin floor once payment-processor fees are taken out, a small monthly charge loses too much of its value to per-transaction Stripe fees to stay above the margin we hold every plan to. Billing the year in one charge fixes that, which is why Starter is offered annually and not month to month. It is the same logic behind annual being the promoted default across the site: for a printed code that lives in the field for a year, a yearly commitment usually matches how long the code is in use anyway.

Who is Starter for?

Starter is for the person who has outgrown the free tier but is not yet running Pro-scale campaigns. The free plan gives you 3 codes and 500 scans a month to confirm the whole redirect-and-analytics loop works. When a real code starts pulling steady traffic, or you want it on your own domain with analytics that never expire, Starter is the next step up without jumping straight to Pro. When you need A/B testing, geo and app-store routing, API keys, signed webhooks, or hundreds of codes, that is where Pro begins.

What Starter does not change

Two things stay true on every tier, including Starter. Codes never brick: your codes keep resolving past the scan allowance rather than being suspended, and scans over the allowance are billed as transparent overage. And the printed image never changes, change the destination in the console; the next scan follows the new rule, no reprint. Starter lowers the price of getting onto a paid plan; it does not change how the platform treats the codes you have already printed.
