GS1 product QR codes and a resolver you own

For Shopify CPG and DTC brands: a GS1 Digital Link on your GTIN, resolving on your own domain, one code, many destinations. Connect packaging to sale on the resolver you own, not a link you rent. Priced per product identity, billed inside your Shopify invoice. The Shopify app is in early access; GS1 resolution and scan-to-outcome attribution are coming.

Why product identity is a platform, not a feature

Dynamic QR generation is a feature; persistent product identity and resolver durability are a platform. A code you print onto a Shopify product outlives any single campaign, so the layer that matters is the one you own: a GS1 Digital Link on your GTIN, resolving on your own domain, answering one code, many destinations by purpose. Custom domains ship today, so the resolver you own, not a link you rent, is already the model. The GS1 Digital Link resolution layer on top is coming: the resolver is coded and unit-tested and is deploying, so we describe it as in preview, not live.

How does per-SKU identity pricing work?

You pay on scans and on active GS1 product identities, not on how many codes you generate. Identities are the expansion metric, a premium unit for connected products, so scaling to a large catalogue raises the bill on the SKUs you actually register, while plain codes stay generous. Business is $149/mo, or $124.17/mo billed annually (save 17%) and includes 5,000 product identities; each active identity beyond the allotment is $2 a month. This is a per-product-identity price, never a charge per code.

Is this ready for GS1 Sunrise 2027?

redireo is Sunrise-2027-ready in the sense that matters: the resolver runs on your own domain and is built to the GS1 Digital Link standard. We describe it as conformant, never GS1-certified, and creating a Digital Link does not by itself make a product compliant with a regulation, that obligation stays with the brand. The EU Digital Product Passport is driving demand for per-item identifiers; confirm the exact standard your programme has to meet.

Shopify questions

What does the redireo Shopify app do?

It puts a GS1 Digital Link on your GTIN, resolving on your own domain, one code, many destinations, and registers a product identity per SKU from your Shopify catalogue. Custom domains and dynamic redirects ship today; full GS1 resolution is coming, so we describe that layer as in preview, not live. The app itself is in early access.

How is this priced for a Shopify catalogue?

You are billed on scans, the value metric, plus active GS1 product identities, the expansion metric. Business includes 2,000,000 scans a month and 5,000 product identities; identities beyond the allotment are $2 per active identity a month. That is a per-product-identity price, not a charge per code, plain codes stay generous. Business is $149/mo, or $124.17/mo billed annually (save 17%).

Can I bill the app through Shopify?

That is the design: the redireo Shopify app meters scans and identities through the Shopify Billing API, so charges appear in your Shopify invoice with no re-entered card. The app is in early access, talk to us to join.

Does redireo make my products GS1-certified or DPP-compliant?

No, and we will not claim it does. We build to the GS1 Digital Link standard and describe the resolver as conformant, never certified. The EU Digital Product Passport is a readiness story, registering an identifier and meeting a regulation stay with the brand. Being Sunrise-2027-ready is about the resolver being in place, not a compliance guarantee.

What happens to my codes if I change plans?

Codes never brick. Your codes stay on packaging for years, so does your control of them. Scans over the allowance are billed as transparent overage rather than a hard suspension, so a printed pack keeps resolving through a busy month or a plan change.
